A few years ago, I decide to start making bucket lists for every season as a way to intentionally spend time together as a family and make memories that will last us. It’s a family tradition that I hope my kids will continue on in their families, and it’s been so fun to see them interact more and more with the bucket lists and add their own choices to them. While the goal is to try and get as many items checked off as we can, there’s never any pressure to complete these and it’s more of a way to just make sure we prioritize things we really want to do together.
You can make any list that works for your family, I usually make mine on a big butcher roll in our home and we cross items off as we go. But you can also just print ours out in case you didn’t feel like making your own.
Also for my paid subscribers, I’m including a little summer activity pdf for you to do with your kids. In it, I’ve included a summer reading list challenge too because it’s one of our favorite things and I think they’re so worthwhile. Also here’s a link of all of the places that offer rewards for completing summer reading lists (our library always has fun prizes so make sure to check yours too).
